The youngest primary school pupils are returning to the classroom for the first time since the Christmas break, as part of Scotland's stage one in a phased reopening of schools which have been close to all but a minority of pupils since the beginning of January. On the 8th of March, pupils in primary 1-3 will be able to return, with pupils in primary 4-7 returning on the 15th of March.
There's no doubt that the transition from home schooling to classroom learning will be difficult for most. Our tutors are on hand to help make this transition as easy as possible.
After last year's chaos with algorithm-determined grades, the government has decided to hand the power over to teachers to come up with grades for students. Final grades will be decided by teacher estimates and a "quality assurance" procedure overseen by the SQA. In order to reach these estimates, teachers need to gather 3-4 pieces of work from each pupil to use as evidence of a final grade.
There's still time to ensure your child achieves the best grade possible. Our tutors can help your child perform to the best of their ability and excel before grades are submitted to the SQA by teachers on the 18th of June.
